Why doesn't add web page replace links and snapshots?

Tell me if I'm missing something, but it seems to me there's no reason to save web pages as either links or snapshots, when saving as a web pages gives you all of the same information plus the option for more. (You just need to make the URL clickable)

I guess maybe you if you don't need the extra information, but it's not like it's getting in the way.

You're right that the "full" web page save provides all of the options whereas the links and snapshots don't. But there are cases where snapshots and links are handy. For instance, you might want to have several snapshots of the same web page over time and have those all grouped under the "parent" web page item. Links can be used as bookmarks; perhaps there are a set of blogs that you want to link to that relate to a book (which is the parent item). Snapshots and links can be dragged from one parent item to another whereas full web page items cannot. There are many other use cases, and we've tried to provide the greatest flexibility.
