Change PDF metadata to match metadata of associated entry
If I am not mistaken, when importing a PDF (say, via the Connector) Zotero automatically searches for the metadata based on parts of the content of the PDF (I believe having read that it is looking for the DOI or ISBN in the beginning of the file content). If it finds useful information the program automatically generates a new entry to which it attaches the PDF. However, the PDF file itself does not seem to be modified by this process.
I tend to use OSX's Spotlight using keywords such as "author:" or "title:" to quickly narrow the search. Unfortunately this only works if the PDF file contains the right information in its metadata.
Is it possible to change the metadata (mainly information of the author or the title) of the PDF file according to the metadata of the associated entry? Does there exist a plug-in for that?
I understand that may be in violation of the intended use of PDF metadata. Still, I would like to know if work has been done on that "feature".

Edit: I just found an old thread (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/31848/get-at-that-pdf-metadata) on that issue diving a little bit into the difficulties (already back then!) to include this feature into Zotero.
