SQLite file corrupted - next step?

I am getting this message:
The Zotero database “zotero.sqlite” appears to have become corrupted.

This generally occurs when the Zotero data directory is stored in a cloud storage folder or on a network drive. If you’ve moved your data directory to one of those places, you should move it back to the default location.

Zotero can attempt to restore from the last automatic backup from 4/1/2021 at 3:52:37 PM.

My database is stored locally at: c:\users\XXX\zotero where XXX is my computer username.

I'm concerned that "repair" might affect/corrupt my team's group library. Please advise.

  • You can use the DB Repair Tool, but if all your data is in sync, you can just make a backup of zotero.sqlite, delete it, restart Zotero, and sync to pull down all data online.
  • Thanks, did what you said and will update you. Seems to be working so far.
