AMA 9th edition!

Hi all, I am working with someone who is submitting to a journal that requires the 9th edition of the American Medical Association -- this is not on the Zotero style repository. Is it possible to get older versions of styles that are no longer available via the repository?

Well our library has a 2007 book for the AMA 10th edition!! So a bit ago!

Pretty sure we never had number 9, sorry. I'd guess it didn't change much between 9 and 10 -- what's the journal? Can you post the sample references here?

The journal is: The Journal of Clinical and Translational Science

I would post some examples they have on their website but the bold won't display.

That's not AMA 9th at all, I'm afraid. I found this old description of AMA 9th and that looks about right: https://uwc.cah.ucf.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/9/2015/04/CitingSourcesusingAMA.pdf

AMA never bolded sources, it certainly wouldn't have included DOIs in an edition that came out in 19998 (!), and it has always abbreviated journal titles.

I'd just start a regular style request (you can just continue here) as per https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/wiki/Requesting-Styles

(You might also suggest to the journal that they remove the description of the style as AMA 9th edition.)

If it does look like it though that you'll need a custom style for this journal, please provide the requested information here. Make sure to adapt the citations to the style with the metadata given in the guide. Just add the details into this thread.
