APA 7 - Italics - Book Titles missing?

Hi everyone,

I used Zotero to complete my PhD, one of the best tools in my workflow. I am coming back into it now and referring students to also use the tool. It seems to no longer paste citations using italics for APA 7. Did something change? In the past I was using RTF scan, but most of my students will simply right click and save bibliography to clipboard.

I couldn't find a clear KB article on this, I know I am missing something. Thanks for the help.

The APA 7 style correctly formats italics. How exactly are you creating your bibliography?

Note that you will generally want to use Zotero’s Word plugin to create automatically updating bibliographies.

Hmm -- that looks like it's pasting without any formatting at all (it should also be double-spaced and indented). Do other styles like Chicago paste with italics? If not, this is a setting of your clipboard -- nothing to do with Zotero. You can e.g. modify the default paste behavior in Word.

Thanks for the article Adam. I did some troubleshooting and found the issue. I use an intermediary application that stores some of my clipboard content. Once I disabled this, I was able to see the correct formatting. It's working now. Thank you for the help.
