Sticky Notes on screenshots aren't printable anymore?

I just upgraded firefox(3.5.3) and zotero(2.0b7.1) and realized that from many webpages it is not possible anymore to print zotero screenshots with sticky notes/highlighting. I get a printed copy without the sticky note, or just with the border of it but not the text.
Is this a bug of the new version?
I searched along the documentation and the forum discussion, but didn't find any help.
It would be very nice to have this feature back again!
Anyway, zotero rules! ;-)
  • It's now a month ago.
Does anybody take care about the problem?
  • Cannot confirm your experience, alofro. With 2.07b4 in FF 3.5.3 on Mac the stickies print fine with text in place and highlighting visible. If printed on my bw printer the background of the stickies and the highlighting is not visible (the default yellow in Zot is too light for the bw printer). They're perfectly there if printed in color.

Have you checked the "Print background colour" and "Print background images" in the print menu set up? What OS are you working from?
  • Thanks for the feedback... it seems to depend on the html site.
On some sites it works, on other not. Could you tell me why it doesn't work for example on:

    http://press.princeton.edu/titles/9099.html

I can add the sticky and see it in firefox, but if I print it, it disappears or seems to be cut. (Already at the print preview).
Anyway, my problem didn't have anything to do with the printer settings, because I used to use some pdf printer, and now the stickies disappear even on the pdf.

But maybe it has nothing to do with zotero itself, but with some incompatibiblity with certain html sites.

I am using windows xp pro (haven't tried on other OS).
  • Tried your link and made a sticky on the webshot. Have the same experience: the sticky does not show in print (or in PDF); the highlighting, however, seems to work and displays fine. This is not an OS specific issue since it occurs in XP and OSX alike. Had a look at the webpage with Firebug but couldn't figure out any obvious reason for the malfunction. Ideas anybody?
