Google doc: citations unlink when dragging text

If I select and drag-and-drop text including citations the citations become unlinked. The same does not occur when copy-pasting text. Is this a known issue? I could not find a corresponding warning on the "google docs" Zotero documentation page. I'm using Firefox 86 on macOS and the stable release version of Zotero, Zotero 5.0.96 and Zotero Connector 5.0.81.

Sorry if this is a duplicate, but I could not find anything in the forum when searching with "drag" or "dragging"

Yes, sorry, this is a known issue, and unfortunately not one we can fix. I've added it to the Limitations section of the documentation.

Thanks for the clarification! I figured it might be based on how the browser or Google Docs handle it.
