Can't import Zotero rdf – "The selected file is not in a supported format."

I'm trying to import a Zotero library one of my assistants exported. It's a Zotero RDF file, yet when I select it in the import tool, Zotero tells me "The selected file is not in a supported format."

Hm, shouldn't Zotero support Zotero's own rdf format? What am I missing here? (I'm using Mac OS and Zotero 5.0.95.3)

    Zotero isn't able to read the file at all. Not sure why that would be. Are you running any sort of security software on this computer?

    You can also try moving the folder somewhere else on your computer, and also opening it up yourself in TextEdit to see if that works.
