Everytime, I try to sync, I get some error. I use my library from two computers and get errors on both.

ps: I use the newest version on both, windows and ubuntu.
My library has about 1000 items.
File-Sync is on box.net (I would love to change to zotero, but I need too much space)
    Thanks for your help!

    the error, I get, is

    Component returned failure code: 0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nsIFile.create]

It appears when download and upload are in progress and about 35%-65% finished.

I am using Firefox 3.0.14 on Windows but access the library also some times from a ubuntu 9.04 laptop. May it be also a filename-Problem?

Is there any way to workaround or how I can solve the problem without loosing the entries I made since yesterday? My library grows every day and I don't want to loose the new Entries by resetting - please help me with this!
    I already updated to 2.0b7.1.

    Thank you,
    Tobi
  • We're looking into this problem.

Just to be clear, your metadata should be syncing fine. This is only a file sync problem. Don't reset anything.
  • Thank you. In deed, when I disable file-sync, I have no problems.
As soon as it is possible to have more space than 100Mb, I will switch to zfs because I think the performance will be better. Do you know when we can expect the possibility to have more space?
    Thanks,
    Tobi
  • The "NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND [nsIFile.create]" should be fixed in the latest dev builds, and the fix will be included in 2.0b7.2, which should be out by tomorrow. That's a Windows-only issue, however, so you should provide a Report ID from Ubuntu if you're having trouble there as well.

(Also, there's no need to post to other, unrelated threads when you already have an existing thread on an issue.)
  • Thank you - There are still some problems, but I think this one seems to be solved.
Sorry for posting to other threads - I just did not think that much about it.
    Thank you,
    Tobi
