Changing the language of the generated [Album recorded by]-note in APA 7

Hi, all!

I have the following reference in Zotero:

Item Type: Audio Recording
Title: The mystery sonatas
Composer: Biber, H.I.F.
Performer: Reiter, Walter
Performer: Cordaria
Format: Album
Label: Signum Records
Date: 2002

APA 7 states that a classical work should have a note in square brackets with information about who recorded the version, which Zotero correctly generates:

Biber, H. I. F. (2002). The mystery sonatas [Album recorded by W. Reiter & Cordaria]. Signum Records.

However the note is in English ([Album recorded by . . .]), and this formulation does not seem to be part of the CSL Locale Files.

Is this something that is possible do via Zotero in any way, or must it be done manually at the end of writing (by unlinking citations)? It would be a minor concern in my case, but I don't know if this is also true for other automatically generated formulations?

  • That’s currently a hard coded phrase for technical limitations. You could edit the style, but if you only have one or two such references, it might be easier to just edit at the end. Let me know if you do want to edit the style.
