Zotfile is not working on MacOS Big Sur

I have recently switched to MacOS Big Sur from Windows and I see that the Zotfile is not working in MacOS while it works perfectly fine in Windows. Quite often, even clicking on the 'zotfile preference' from the drop down menu in the toolbar doesn't open the settings box.

    This can happen currently on macOS if you close the Zotero window and reopen it rather than fully quitting the app and restarting it.

    Thanks, but still the main issue is still persistent - zotfile doesn't move newly downloaded papers (using zotero connector on chrome) to the specified folder and rather stores a copy in the zotero's data directory.
