Citations after full stop - Advice on how to correct this?

Dear Zoterians,
I need some help. I have only just started sing zotero, and it keeps on adding my citations after the full stop at the sentences.
Any advice on how this can be corrected?
Many thanks in advance,
Stella
  • Not sure what you mean -- Zotero inserts the citation where your cursor is when you click on Add Citation. Is that not what you're seeing?
  • I had a number of citations already inserted in one of my documents through Mendeley originally.
I switched to Zotero, fine up to that point. As soon as I changed the style to MDPI it placed many of the citations that were at the end of the sentence after the full stop, rather than before it.
The same has happened in the past in many of my students' assignments.
    Thus, currently, instead of seeing "..... [1].", I see "..... . [1]"
  • Zotero does not move the citations from where you insert them. There simply is no code for that to happen. Can you take a screenshot before and after, upload to Dropbox or similar, and link here?
