Zotero replaces long dash with hyphen

In the volume field I have this:

Bd. 3: Die Jahre 1869–1907

The dash needs to be a long one, not a hyphen. I entered a long dash in the field in Zotero, but in Word this still renders as a (short) hyphen. This happens with my own custom style – is there a way to change this in the style?

If not, I would consider this a bug, or why would anyone want this to happen?

You can override the standard dash with page-range-delimiter:

I am not sure this really works, since the volume field may also hold hyphens, and I wouldn't want those converted. All I want is the text in this field to be rendered "as is", without any changes.
