Zotero not updating citation in google docs (on a Mac)

As I am trying to add citations to my document when I add a citation and hit enter I just get a blue "Updating" where the number should be. I have spent many hours trying to figure out how to resolve this. Any help greatly appreciated.

    If you're using Firefox, there's a beta version of the Zotero Connector that hopefully will fix this:

    An updated version of the Chrome extension should be out within a couple days.

    Post to that thread if you're still having trouble after that (or if you try the beta for Firefox and it fixes the problem).

    Ok thank you-no I am using Chrome- so will the extension update automatically? Or do I need to reinstall the extension? Thank you

    Yes, you'll get the update automatically within a couple days. We'll post to that other thread once the fix is out for everyone.
