[Juris M] Parallel citations not working with JM OSCOLA

edited January 27, 2021
Hi, I am trying to cite a case that started at the General Court of the EU and was appealed to the CJEU. Though I have followed the parallel citations procedure the citation that appears has both names of the cases. Could the reason be that the names are not identical? Is there anything else I can try?
  • For Jurism feature questions, you should post to the Jurism mailing list.
  • The reasons is: parallel citations haven‘t been implemented yet for CJEU cases.

Could you show me your example, please? It might be a useful enhancement.
  • Case T-18/10 Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami and Others v Parliament and Council ECR II-5599 aff’d Case C-583/11 P Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami and Others v European Parliament and Council of the European Union ECR I-3. Mind you that the Reporter might be wrong. @bwiernik apologies, I did not know that, will do so in the future.

@Manolo_BG sorry for the long wait. You might try the style module at this address https://github.com/georgd/style-modules/blob/master/juris-eu.int+cjeu.csl. You’d have to copy it into your style module directory, which is most probably located under C:/Users/yourusername/Juris-M/style-modules, overwriting the current module version. This version only adds the functionality to not repeat a title in parallel cases. For it to work, the titles need to be entered identically.

You’d have to introduce the parallel citation in the prefix field by a comma to make it look as required by OSCOLA. The prefix field would look like ,␣affd␣ (with trailing space, ist the space symbol).

  • I hope, this will be added soon to Juris-M. For the time being, the file was moved to
