CANNOT install OpenOffice extension into LibreOffice

Doesn't work. I get this, and other, messages:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/y5mx6tfq5sks6qr/Zotero C++ problem?dl=0
Using: Mac OS 10.15.7
LibreOffice (new install): 6.4.7.2
Zotero 5.0.95
Java Tried AdoptOpenJDK 11.0.9.1_1--didn't work, message above
Currently have Amazon-corretto-11.jdk as selected version in LibreOffice--get message above
NO idea what the problem might be. Any ideas out there? Yes, I have removed the user profile and started a new one. Have restarted the machine.
HELP!!!! Thanks in advance.
There really should be a chart of Zotero/LibreOffice versions and which versions of Java they can (or SHOULD) run. Too confusing to look around and not really know what's going to be compatible. See here for another example of this problem.

  • That's unrelated — all the version stuff is about LO 7.0, which is incompatible with recent Java versions. That's documented on the system requirements page and the troubleshooting page, and it should be fixed in LO 7.1.

    If you're using LibreOffice 6, any JDK version should work, but we can't vouch for third-party builds like AdoptOpenJDK or Amazon Corretto. Just install the latest OpenJDK from Oracle (currently JDK 15), and place the extracted folder in /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines, and then select that in the Advanced pane of the LO preferences.

    If you continue to get an error after that, let us know, because this might not be related to Java at all. I'm not sure we've ever actually seen that error before.
  • FIXED!
    Neither Amazon Corretto 11 or AdoptOpenJDK 11 worked. Same errors with both. I threw them out, ignored this:

    used Amazon Corretto 8 and the Zotero extension installed just fine. Everything else I looked at said that the Official Versions were behind a sign-in and thus not available to me. THANKS for posting them but, being on a Mac, those are Linux or Windows and wouldn't have helped me.
    I would note that installing the Amazon Corretto 8 was VERY easy. Not being Terminal-fluent I wasn't able to install via Homebrew.

    No, the link I posted has downloads for macOS as well. I tested the JDK 15 from there with LibreOffice 6.4 yesterday.

    I also updated the link from the troubleshooting page. The previous link was correct, but you had to click the "End users and developers looking for free JDK versions" link to avoid the login.
