My only complain is the 100M storage space, add rsync!

2.0 is perfect and the idea of using Zotero account is excellent.
I think Zotero now is way much better than Endnote+Endnote web+Web of science+Endnote ff plug in!

but the usual database I use [and I believe for many researchers] is much bigger than 100 M. And they usually have other reliable net work sync resources like university server.

so I suggest add other sync option besides Zotero account like ssh or rsync function!
  • firefox does not have native support for either of those protocols. The storage FAQ notes that greater amounts of storage can be purchased on the zotero servers.
  • but I think it would really be nice to hear from dev what the current outlook on releasing server code is.
A lot of universities do offer WebDav - so that would remain a possibility.

sorry. couldn't find that information about buying additional space on FAQ.

besides WebDAV, maybe Zotero can also use Samba. For example my university offer Samba but not WebDAV.
  • I am also impatient that the sync server code has not yet been released. The devs have said this would not be supported, but it would still be nice to have. However,
    • This has nothing to do with this thread (which is regarding storage syncing)
    • It will not be usable by most organizations (if it is unsupported).
