In text citation and editing of citations

I am new to Zotero and I have just downloaded it and started with my citations.

How do I do an "in text" citation in Mac's Word. Example: When I insert the citation at the beginning of a sentence, I do not want it as (Belk, 2014) argued that ..., but rather: Belk (2014) argued that ...
