in text citations with multiple authors

Hello. Zotero is automatically citing only one author for citations the first time they are used, when there are 3, 4, or 5 authors. How can I fix this? I know this should happen on subsequent citations but not on the first.

    I’m assuming you are using APA style. This is a change in APA 7th edition from 6th edition. Now, et al is used immediately for 3+ authors, even the first time.

    I’d you want to use APA 6th edition, that is available from the Zotero Style Repository, but most journals have switched over to APA 7th edition by this point.
