Is it possible to add citation one after one, after each document register, without loosing order of

Hello,
I can add citation in my word document, and add bibliography after every modification of my word writing.
But when I want, after a while without writting, add a new citation, it doesn't come after the last one.
For example : i add the citation (18) yesterday. Today i add new ones, and the first one i add appears like (1). So, there is no chronology and worst : i loose my real first one bibliography when i add bibliography...
I use word 2019, and i checked : there is no update to do on zotero....
Coul you help me pleaaaase ??
Thank you +++++

  • https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/existing_citations_not_detected

    Generally this means you are saving the document in an incompatible format
  • Thank you for all, and you rapidity.

    I tried everything : changing the format, add transfer document, add my user name on the word document, and “Field codes instead of values” was already unchecked.

    I tried to do this to a document which hasn't been sent to another people : NOTHING happend.... =(

    hellllp again please....
  • Let's start with the format in which you save these files (e.g. .docx, .doc, .odt, something else)
  • it was odt and i registered in docx, but the same problem go on... The new citation is called (1)...and don't recognize those of before...
  • Right, but once you save a document as .odt, all the previous citations are disconnected and new ones would start at (1) -- I'm afraid there's no way to bring the original ones back. You'll have to re-insert them.
