Annotated Bibliography web access only

I have students using Chrome books wanting to create annotated bibliographies for a project. They are unable to download the full version (the school manages their accounts). Is there a way to do that?
  • Have them enter their annotations in the Extra field, then generate the bibliography using the APA (annotated bibliography) style.
  • That would work but the projects are part of a national competition that only allows Chicago or MLA.
  • They can use zbib.org to generate the bibliography. They then have two choices for creating the annotated bibliography:
    1. Just create the bibliography with zbib.org and write the annotations directly into the document. That's what I'd recommend, especially for secondary or early college students, which I assume this refers to.
    2. Write the annotations into the "Extra" field of the imported zbib.org entries and use one of the two annotated styles available, both of which include the Extra field:
    https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=annotate

You can do both of these in Zotero proper, but there's really little reason to use full Zotero if you can't use the actual application.
  • That is what I will suggest. Thanks.
  • @adamsmith I notice that you have commented on a number of questions related to annotated bibliographies. Do you happen to work as a consultant or research assistant available to help with such projects? If so, might you be willing to contact me on graham.singh@trinitycentres.org ? Thank you for your posts so far!!! We are trying to get 15 researchers working on an annotated bibliography project but we need a few features to really work reliably and I have a hunch that you could help....
  • I do a limited amount of consulting, yes. You can find my contact info here if you want to discuss further:
