hyphen instead of em-dash in page number ranges?

Is there a way to have page numbers remain hyphenated in note citations rather than converting to an em-dash?

My hyphens with title info remain hyphens (eg. Matthew 1-13), but all page ranges change from hyphen to em-dash.

Using Chicago 17ed (full note, shortened subsequent), Word for Mac 16.43

    It's possible by changing they citation style*, but the en(!) dash is correct for page (and any other numerical) ranges, according to Chicago, Turabian, and virtually all other English language style manuals.

    *by redefining the delimiter in the local via <term name="page-range-delimiter">-</term>
