Bibliography without footnote

Hello there,
I want to assemble a bibliography for my students to provide an overview of literature, without using footnotes. In my Word 365 for Mac 2020 I can only seem to be able to insert a bibliography with the extra step of a footnote. Is there a way of bypassing the footnote?

    You'd create the bibliography straight from the app: Select all items you want included, right-click (ctrl+click) --> Create Bibliography from selected items

    Then select your citation style of choice, and either save as RTF (which opens in Word) or copy to clipboard and paste to Word.
