Custom bibliography style for bibtex in Overleaf /Latex

Hi,

I'm new to Zotero and really cannot work out how to get zotero working with latex. I have my zotero accout synced with my overleaf account so it is updating the .bib file automatically (a nice feature).

But I can't find anywhere what it is I need to write in the main.tex file (preamble and just before \end{document}) to include the bibliography, in particular I would like to use the custom style: https://golem.ph.utexas.edu/~distler/TeXstuff/utphys.bst

...but tbh anything that actually compiles would be amazing at this point! All the combinations of \bibliograpy{file.bib} with \bibliographystyle{utphys} are not compiling, I am ensuring the utphys.bst file is in the same folder as main which I see is a common troubleshoot.

Would be amazing to have this sorted - thanks!
  • 1) if you aren’t already, be sure to install and use the Better BibTeX plugin if you are using Zotero to work with LaTeX.

    2) These sound like general BibTeX issues, not anything to do with Zotero (Zotero just generates your .bib file). You should ask your question on a LaTeX or overleaf forum—this would be an issue for you even if you were maintaining your .bib file by hand.
