Bug: Zotero cause Ubuntu 9.04 in Macbook Pro irresponsible

Ubuntu 9.04 installed in Macbook Pro
Firefox 3.5

Whenever I opened the zotero and click the Preferences, the screen will be locked, the keyboard does not response, the mouse can move but also no response when click something. I even could not shut down my computer.

This is might be a bug, please help, I need zotero.
  • Have you specified a custom data directory location that is no longer available?

If so, reset extensions.zotero.dataDir and extensions.zotero.useDataDir in about:config.

Otherwise, debug output from opening the preferences might help (though it sounds like you might not be able to copy and paste it, but writing down the last couple lines might help).
  • For what it's worth, this has been reported before, but that person didn't help debug, so we don't have any further information.
  • Thank u Dan, it works.

I want to change the zotero data path by open Preferences, and your method helps.
  • Out of curiosity, what was it set to before? A network drive?
  • nothing, I installed the zotero, and click the Preferences, it freezes.

I use zotero a lot in other computer, they all works well. When I switched to Macbook, it happened.
