file cleanup

edited October 8, 2020
Hi, there are 1,287 files in my top-level zotero directory taking up 1.8 GB of space, of which 1,246 have filenames of the format [zotero (####).sqlite-journal] where #### is a number anywhere from 1 to 1246. I am quite sure these are all garbage that resulted from a, um, backup accident I had a while ago, and that I can delete them. But before doing so I want to ask, am I likely correct that these files can be deleted?

I do see the plain-old file [zotero.sqlite-journal] which I would leave in place.
  • Yeah, those certainly should not be there, and you should…not repeat whatever it is you did that caused that to happen. Make sure you have a backup of at least zotero.sqlite, zotero.sqlite-journal, and zotero.sqlite.bak (and possibly one or two other .bak files).
  • Great, thanks Dan! Believe me, I won't be repeating what I did to cause that to happen. ;-P
