Can't import citations from Zotero to Mac Word 2008

I'm using Zotero 1.1.10 and the latest version of Mac Word. Zotero works fine, and I installed the Mac plug-in, but when I click on Insert Citations, nothing happens. I've read through all the discussion material, but no one seems to have an answer.

The Mac Word plugin for Zotero 1.0.x is not compatible with Word 2008 for Mac. Users of Word 2008 can use Zotero 2.0 Beta in combination with an alpha version of the Zotero 2.0 compatible Word 2008 plugin.

Hi Dan,

I guess you're right about my missing things (sorry), and so I downloaded the Zotero 2.0 Beta, and then I downloaded the Mac 2008 plug-in, but now even the Toolbar doesn't show up in Word. When I went to Tools, Plug-ins, zotero.dot wasn't even there.

Help!
