Zotero firefox connector does not work

I have tried to use this connector, and it worked for the first couple of times, but since then whatever I do, it does not work. The zotero app on my laptop works, but the brower connectors both for chrome and firefox do not work.

I will appreciate any help in this matter. I have also tried to install the beta connector, but even that does not work.
