Add citation from word document to zotero?

Dear forum,

is it possible to extract citations from a foreign word document to my zotero data base?

I mean the common scenario where another person drafts a scientific article in word and adds citations which I do not have in my database yet. I would like to extract all those citations from this document to my own database for future work.
