On my small 13 inch screen I like to hide the item pane in the layout menu. However, after a restart of zotero, it toggles back on. Is there a way of making this the permanent view?
Go to the Zotero preferences --> Advanced click on "Config Editor" at the bottom, accept the risk in the next dialog, filter for extensions.zotero.reopenPanesOnRestart right-click the entry and "toggle" it will turn bold and toggle to false and Zotero will now remember your settings (it doesn't by default because we had lots of users do this inadvertently and then freaking out because the item pane was "gone")
