Upgrade Storage"Place" field for a newspaper article is not displaying
Hi there. For newspapers and magazines it is sometimes necessary to add the city or state of the publication in parentheses and roman type directly after the publication title. Looking at the fields for Books and Periodicals (see link below; see CMS17, 14.193), I see that the "place" field is listed for both; however, "place" does not display for newspaper and magazine citations. Both item types fall under the category of periodicals, so I'm wondering why the place isn't showing up. Is my only recourse to add the location information to the newspaper/magazine title?

The Newspaper Article item type in Zotero has a place field. The Magazine Article one doesn't.
Given the many "can" and "may" stipulations in CMS 14.193, I don't think it's possible to write this rule into an automated citations style, so if you're asking why place doesn't appear in Chicago output, that'd be why and yes, I'd add the place to the title of the periodical if its needed.
