Dear All, I seem to have a broken document.

When I click on any of the buttons in the Word add-in I get the following error message:

Zotero experienced an error updating your document.

Would you like to view troubleshooting instructions?

I have followed all the steps outlined here: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/debugging_broken_documents (I deleted text page by page but the error remained).

I am using Windows 10, Word 2016, and Zotero 5.0.89.

The main think I'm trying to do is change the style, so any help would be great! Let me know if there is any further information I can provide to help.

1) The last step doesn't say to delete text page by page. That will make the process slower than necessary.

2) As explained there: "Unless the error still occurs if you completely clear the contents of the document, this final step will by definition identify the problem."

Hello @dstillman thank you for your reply. I think it might have been related to the Word plug-in, so I deleted the zotero.dotm file and re-installed and that seems to have solved the problem. Thanks again for offering to help.
