Translated work in Sage Harvard

Hi - In Sage Harvard the translator of a book is meant to come directly after the title. However, when I create the bibliography the translator is never listed (even though that info is in the Zotero item.). Can you help?
  • Can you pick out the part/example from the style guidelines regarding this issue? Then I can have a look tomorrow if/how to fix it.
  • It is not listed in my Sage Harvard, which is very short, but for Harvard it is as follows:

    To be made up of:
    • Author/editor.
    • Year of translated publication (in round brackets).
    • Title of book (in italics).
    • Translated by ...
    • Place of publication: reprint publisher.
    In-text citation:
Ludwig (2005) feared the worst for Napoleon.

    Reference list:
Ludwig, E. (2005) Napoleon. Translated by E. Paul and C. Paul. London: Book Jungle.

    thanks.
  • But as that page says -- there are many versions of "Harvard" which really just means "author-date" and while I guess we can put it into Sage Harvard, we prefer not to just invent things. Any reason you want to stick with the Sage Harvard version? I think e.g. Cite them right would likely add book translators.
  • The journal am submitting to uses Sage Harvard, and they also include the translator. For certain types of work, including the translator is normal and required.
  • OK, could you provide a couple of sample citations & links to the citing articles from said journal then?
  • Here you go:

  • Thanks, we'll get this fixed.
  • I just pushed a fix -- The style will now display editors & translators the way they are in JCS.
  • thanks. I'll try it out.
