Upgrade StorageZotero and schema.org metadata in JSON+LD

has there been any discussion (or experimenting or work towards) enabling Zotero connectors in the browser to pull information from schema.org formatted JSON which might be in the head of websites? I'd also be interested to know if anyone has played around with schema.org JSON export.
