pubmed problem Zotero 2.0b6.5, error rpt 839767576

have been using Zotero 2.0 without problems for several weeks. Suddenly today cannot scrape Pubmed -- either from Summary or Abstract Plus views.

I click on the folder icon as usual, select ALL (6) and say go. There is a pause -- about the right length -- but nothing seems to happen -- then control is returned to me. It does not show any signs of loading other than the pause. I see no new entries in My Library, or in the collection i tried to send the citations to.

Mac 10.5.8. firefox 3.5.2. Only other clues are that videodownload helper (VDH) updated -- plus i had a couple crashes necessitated by VDH (it opened a window that couldn't be closed or moved). I was not using Z at the time. I've tried disabling VDH, restarting firefox, and restarting computer, without success.
