Upgrade StorageQuestions on Merging Duplicates
Hi there,
I would appreciate if anyone can clarify these issues I am having:
I do not understand how merging duplicates on Zotero actually can reduce the item
numbers on each database, since I believe that I have clicked through merging more
articles than I see reflect in the change in total articles from databases. For example, I clicked through at least 50 articles that were the same and merged them but went back and saw that the total number of articles for all my databases had gone down by only 5!
What is going on? How does the merge option usually affect article numbers?
Do you know of any way to speed up merging files other than clicking on merge for each
set since there are thousands for me to merge?

dstillmanWhen you merge items, the non-primary items are moved to the trash. You can check it yourself.
