A few suggestions, apologies if these have been covered elsewhere.

Add "collection" to the list of possible fields in the middle pane of the Zotero viewer.
Support indexing of non-PDF files using meta data in properties (for windows OS docs).
Include an optional of a preview pane for PDFs.
List the number of sucessfully imported items, I know you could work it out with a search but ..
Add send to e-mail as a "right click" option for selected documents.

    An item can be in multiple collections and it is already possible to see the collections an item belongs to.

    There's a ticket for something better & non-OS specific.
    Include an optional of a preview pane for PDFs.
    Similar requests have been made in the past. Firefox does not yet have native, cross-platform PDF support. The various PDF plugins are generally not programmatically accessible and/or are not cross platform.

    You don't even need to search. Imports are made into a separate collection. So: just go to that collection, select all, and read the number in the right-most pane.
