HELP: I cannot drag & drop citations into google docs (or any doc)

I used to be able to drag a reference in zotero and it would automatically add the citation into whatever doc (or slide deck) I moved to. It has not been working for me and the forums I looked at don't offer suggestions that make sense to me--I have not done much on the back end/admin side of zotero.

When I try to drag--nothing copies over but I see the title of the reference in zotero in a little box--but no citation info carries over/shows up in the new doc

First, for Google Docs specifically, note that Zotero now has Google Docs integration built-in:

But Quick Copy should still work. Check to make sure a default Quick Copy style is selected in the Export pane of the Zotero preferences. You can also try using the keyboard shortcut instead of dragging, though dragging should work:

Beyond that, restart your computer and try again, and if you're still having trouble provide a Debug ID for a drag attempt that fails.
