    Do you really mean files — as in, attached files — or do you just mean that your library isn't syncing?

    The above error can happen if something on your network is blocking your requests, or it can happen in some cases if you try to add an image to a note. Search for <img in the Zotero search bar in Everything mode to see if any notes show up.
