URLs in article metadata
When creating bibliographies in Zotero I've noticed that the URLs of articles aren't included consistently, even with the "Include URLs of paper articles in references" preference selected. It looks like this is because in some cases the URL was never saved (the URL field is blank in the article metadata), so I'm posting this in the translators category under the assumption that it's a translator issue.
I've only tested this with a few repositories, but here are a couple that don't save the URL:
- CSA
- Proquest
And here are some that do:
- Emerald publishing
- ADS
- arXiv
Is there documentation on which translators are supposed to save the article URL? Can I make a request to have this fixed in the Proquest and CSA translators?
(Tested with Zotero 1.0.10 and 2.0b6.5 on Firefox 3.5.2 for Mac)

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Instead of commenting here, you should start a new discussion. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
The URL of the database record (e.g. much of the content CSA and proquest provide) usually should not be cited. The database may or may not contain a link to the actual article.
Please provide example links and/or search recipes that produce records where you'd want the URL to be saved & it isn't.

That's the URL from the snapshot attachment. I can save this reference using Zotero 2.0b6.5 and FF 3.5.2 (after enabling third party cookies), but the URL field is blank.
She also mentioned having the same problem with CSA, but CSA puts the session ID in the URL and doesn't seem to offer permanent links, so I'm not sure how saving the URL would help.
