syncing between Mac and PC using LiveMesh

I am trying to set things up so that my work PC laptop and my home iMac can see the same PDFs. I am trying out LiveMesh, and will probably try DropBox as well so I can compare. But here is my problem - the directory structure is different between the Mac and the PC. And, I have data in both locations at this point. I set up a custom directory on the Mac, and created a LiveMesh folder based on that. Now, my PC can see the contents of that directory if I also set up the custom directory to point to the location that LiveMesh drops the synced folder into (DocumentsAndSettings\myname\Desktop\Zotero). Or, it can see its own data if I use the default Zotero directory. How can I merge the two? Or is there no way to do it and I am just out of luck?
