Is it possible to pass a URL to www.zotero.org/save?

I'm trying to script the creation of entries in Zotero for web pages, but having a hard time. One way that might work is to use the Zotero URL, www.zotero.org/save, if the URL could accept a location as a parameter. Is it possible somehow? If so, what is the parameter name?
