Google Scholar Preferences - Export to Zotero?

I'm sure this has been brought up (although a forum search didn't come up with it): any chance Google Scholar would agree to adding Zotero to their list of reference managers, in the Google Scholar > Preferences pane? It would be great to select "export to Zotero" instead of "export to Endnote"--might raise awareness of Zotero and add users, too.

Though, I wonder if it would be appropriate to rewrite text links on some pages if the preference was set to use Zotero to import RIS/Refer links. I'm usually not a fan of page-rewriting & especially to deviously advertise your own product, but this kind of rewrite would inform users of the current setup (and could even carry a footnote or something describing how to reset the preferences; some bloggers have already describe Zotero's default behavior of catching RIS/REFER as "hijacking").
  • Just sent an email. Perhaps others could do the same:

  • noksagt: Could be a sub-pref of the RIS/Refer pref, but it'd might need to default to off. That doesn't help new users, but rewriting by default would surely upset some people, even if it'd just be to add clarity to the existing preference. (Installing a browser plugin might cause it to "intercept" MIME types that previously opened in external programs, but it doesn't rewrite pages.) And institutional installations could default the rewriting pref to on for their users if they wanted.

The actual rewriting would be done on a per-translator basis.
