difference between Webdav vs zotfile Linked file attachments
Hi,
Looking at the documentations available in Zotero and elsewhere (https://www.zotero.org/support/sync; https://guides.lib.berkeley.edu/zotero/sync), I seem to notice it has not been spelled out explicitly what the differences (pros, cons, requirements, impact, implications etc) between the two are. Why would someone choose one over the other?
I am migrating from Mendeley and would like to set up my Zotero from the get-go correctly or to the best arrangement for my needs, and this information would be very useful.
I'd be grateful for any help with this.
Thank you.

So this is useful:

@dstillman so you are webDAV files are stored files, i.e. they are managed by zotero in the same way as files on zotero storage?
Except for some benefits? Could you clarify what they are? When you say that they can’t be accessed via zotero.org, I assume that you mean I can’t view them in the zotero web library, right? I rarely use the weblibrary, but I still wonder: if the webDAV url is stored in the library, why can’t I access the file via the weblibrary?
