Zotero tab in google docs not working

Hello, the Zotero 'tab' in google docs lights up and then goes gray after a bit of time while working in google docs. I found that refreshing the doc turned the Zotero tab back on, but now that's not working either. I have the desktop Zotero going and Zotero web app is running. I searched the forum and didn't find any discussion on this problem. Is there a setting somewhere that could be changed to keep the Zotero tab on all the time?

    It's very likely a conflict with another extension. See if it works if you disable all other plugins.
