Export annotations as plain text
Hello,
I am using Zotfile's function to extract annotations from Pdfs, which is extremely useful.
The problem is that when I import the annotations into another qualitative analysis program, the annotations are interpreted as plain text and the now visible HTML code makes it rather impossible to further analyze the annotations.
Is there any possibility to convert annotations into plain text, at least when exporting the references + annotations from Zotero? Copying and pasting the annotations from another word-processing software in order to convert annotations into plain text works for individual files, but prevents automatization. The exporting/importing workaround into and from Mendeley suggested in a previous post did not work in my case and is not very useful when extracting annotations repetitively).
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

You could use a WYSIWYG editor.
Paste your text in the HTML field, and grab the text generated.
Here's one online : https://html-online.com/editor/
