underlined footnotes

Good Afternoon,

I'm writing a long document and suddenly I introduced a footnote that comes out underlined. I tried to fix it but I couldn't. I don't see the option to disable automatic citation update. I can see the different styles but that option is not there. What do I need to do to have this problem fixed?

If you don't see it, I'd guess that you're looking at the Cite pane of the Zotero preferences rather than the plugin's Document Preferences window.

If you think that's not the case, take a screenshot of what you're seeing, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox), and provide a link here.

but where can I find the plugin's document preferences window? I've tried everything. what's the symbol. Really sorry!

Click the Document Preferences button in the plugin's toolbar, next to the Add/Edit Citation and Add/Edit Bibliography buttons that you've presumably been using.
