Javascript in Bookmarklet not allowed with iOS 9.3.5

Hi, I have an old ipad that still works quite well (just a bit slow) but is stuck with iOS 9.3.5, and I'm getting an error message when trying to use the bookmarklet that I'm not allowed to execute javascript in this way.

Is this normal with this old version or am I doing something wrong ?
(I also had first to replace the space in the bookmarklet by %20 to save it)

    I can't use the bookmarklet with my old ipad either (ios 9.3.5). Is there any resolution for it?

    We've explained this elsewhere — Intelligent Tracking Prevention in Safari tends to break the bookmarklet, at least if you don't regularly browse zotero.org at other times.

    You can add ungated URLs from iOS using the save page or Add By Identifier in the web library.

    An iOS app that will allow saving is under development.
