OSCOLA in word - continuous footnote (n...) references, instead of per chapter
Hi there
I am using Zotero in a Word for Mac v 16, with OSCOLA style.
The document is a large PhD thesis, split by seperate chapters. The (n ...) numbering was previously operating within chapters but has suddenly started running continuously for the whole thesis (so the 'n' numbers do not align with the footnote numbers they are referring to).
Any help fixing this would be great!!

Word is able to do this, by splitting each chapter by Section break and then restarting footnotes at 1 for each chapter.
But Zotero is doing the supra references ('n XX' for OSCOLA), to refer back to references in the whole document, not just in that Chapter/Section.
Zotero can't do that I'm afraid, sorry. Only way to get supra notes right is to author each chapter in a separate document (you can then unlink citations and merge chapters for final assembly).
