Hello, I install under Bearbeiten-Zitieren-Textverabeitungsprogram Zotero Word Add-In Word, but its still no connected to word. Its better i try under C:>Programmex86>Zotero>extension>install to add the word.dotm file manual. But In this file word.dotm is also not present. I thought maybe i do the extension manually in Word via file>Options>AddIn>WordAddins>add but the exttension is empty
  • The manual installation instructions explain what to do if Zotero.dotm is missing from the 'install' folder.
  • Hello destillman the point is that in the manuel installation is the Zotero.dotm File which my operatng / system word / browser can´t download and i cant find a similar in the Zotero file.
  • Again, the page says what you'll need to do in that case:
In the installation folder, open extensions\zoteroWinWordIntegration@zotero.org\install, where you you can find a copy of the file Zotero.dotm (for Word for Windows 2007 and higher) or Zotero.dot (for older versions of Word).
    • If the folder is empty, the file was somehow deleted — possibly by security software — and you should reinstall Zotero.
    • If the folder is empty immediately after reinstalling Zotero, you can download Zotero.dotm, but your security software may delete the downloaded file as well.
    • If you see two “Zotero” files without file extensions, your computer is set not to display file extensions, and you can determine which one is Zotero.dotm by right-clicking on each file and selecting Properties.
This is a problem with your system, not with Zotero, and there's no more information we can provide on it.
  • I know what the problem was. i install Zotero.dotm in mozilla. That was the browser i add Zotero first. In Mozilla Firefox it was possible to install zotero.dotm finally.
  • I'm not sure what you mean by that. The .dotm doesn't have anything to do with your browser, other than being a file that you can download.
